Meet Founder, Myrna Galan
I’m Myrna Galan, founder of Galan Graphix. I'm a native Texan, and earned an Associate degree in Visual Communications from The Art Institute of Houston in 1993. From there, I went on to work in graphic design for 3 companies before taking the leap and starting Galan Graphix in 2009. My extensive background and experience in the world of graphic design has led me to begin writing this series of blog posts addressing issues and topics I’ve encountered over time. These posts will serve as a beginner's guide to the world of graphic design and will give you the knowledge you need to properly vet and hire a graphic designer.
What I specialize in
Throughout my almost 30 years of experience, I have gained certifications in SCTRCA (ESBE, HABE, MBE, SBE, WBE) and HUB. I specialize in logo design, e-book covers, social media images, business cards, brand creation, and much more! I deliver all logo files in EPS (vector), .jpeg, .png, and PDF formats and provide a guide explaining how best to use each file format. You can find my portfolio here, as well as some examples below.
